Day 7 - The New Campus

It’s another early morning as we all have IS lesson at 8.30 today. It was being pushed earlier as we will be heading over to the new campus to WUST in the afternoon. Ms Zhang taught us about the China’s Politics today..


Well, we ate lunch at the canteen and headed over to the new campus to WUST at 12.30pm. It was an hour ride to the new campus. And went we reached there. OMG! The place huge! It's like 5 times bigger than Ngee Ann man! Or maybe bigger! Damn big! Take a look!

After the bus tour around the school campus, we arrived at the Medical College of WUST. I do not know why are we visiting the Medical College. We were welcomed by lecturer and students there. We headed upstairs to some lab museum to see bodies of dead people. They are all real! Kinda feel damn sad for those people displayed there. It's like dead people bodies there.

I do not know why are we doing here. I guess they thought we are also LSCT people too. Looked around and TADA!!! A bit M18 !

Well, we headed over to the Engineering block while the Life Science people stayed at the Medical Block. We even saw girls NCC. Cool urh.

When we reached the engineering block, we heard loud applause and were like shocked about that as the WUST students welcomed us. It was very loud and sincere! Was very honoured.

They called the mid Autumn Merry Mid-Autumn instead of Happy. One of the students prepared PowerPoint slides for us about their country and so did we (: And after presenting, 2 students came forward and sang song for us. Not bad lea! They sang English songs for us! And even prepared English script to communicate to us. And also prepared moon cake for us! Thanks people of New WUST! Really appreciate it a lot! Thanks!

And in return, the guys sang a Chinese song for the students there

and even one of them joined us! :D

Then we visited the library to know more about the WUST history.

After that, we headed over to the canteen for dinner at around 5.20. Dinner there wasn't as nice as the old campus. After dinner, we headed back to our hostel.

At about 9pm, we met downstairs to gather everyone before going upstairs with the birthday cake for Dyana! We knocked on her door and TADA! Happy birthday to you! :D Yup, we successfully surprised her. And Yu Chuan was the waiter. HAHAH!

Reflections

I had a better understanding about China's state council. Many students want to join this council as it is good for their future and their life. And at the age of 18, they are able to accept and abide by the Party’s constitution of policies. How cool is that! In Singapore, it will be the age of 21.

China have so much land and I am jealous of it! In Singapore, building houses are limited. Space is limted unlike China! I dream of building my house on a grassland full of sheeps and beautiful scenery but that won't be happening in Singapore.

It's cool looking at those bodies artifacts in the lad museum. Gives me a bit knowledge about the human body. I love bioscience but didn't get into any science courses and this made me feel that science is still out there around me.
