Day 29 - Cultural Perfomance

A-TEAM woke up early this morning as we were the first to present our final project for the whole entire trip here. We prepared a bit in HanHui's room and gathered outside Mr Chia's room at 9.30am before going in. After the whole presentation, we A-Team headed outside a breakfast! It's the first time that we, us, only A-Team went out for breakfast together. I bought my favourite Rice Stick and many other new things. Wanted to try out the Zhang Jiang Mian but were afraid they weren't clean. Anyway, we stayed in our bunks today and had a rest. I took a nap too (:
YES! Finally the backgate is opened!

Well, at 5pm, everyone was getting ready for the Cultural Performance which was going to be held at 7pm this evening. Girls were dolling themselves and asking people for suggestions to dress up. Dress code for girls today: Dress and legging! We girls were suppose to meet outside our room at 6 for a full dress rehearsal but you all should know, girls will never be in time when they have to doll up for an event. So, we dragged and had our rehearsal at 6.20 instead. And we were still in time! Phew~
.
We met the rest downstairs and headed over to the block where our performance will be held. It was a wet and cold evening and at 6.30pm, the sky was already pitch dark. I even had to use my phone's torchlight to shine so I wouldn't step into puddles. It was 7pm when all of us assembled at the lecture theatre filled with thousand tidbits on the table. The performance started off with the local students performing a fan dance, a mixture of modern and olden. It was rather impressive. And followed by our group. We did the cultural exchange and told them more about your country where we have 4 races, Chinese, Malay, Indian and others. We told them about the food and more about each race. And we had to do catwalks too! (: Gees! Kinda fun. HEHEH.

After several performances, it was finally time for the girls’ mass dance. We all headed up to the stage and performed, and did I mention that we were performing the song Nobody? Don't underestimate us man people! We did a good job all rights. I even have the video right here. The guys suppose to dance their funny dance but in the end, they sang 2 songs instead. 2 very meaningful song (: The local students also performed for us and told us more about themselves. And boy they were good! Their singing were like AWESOME! They were all so talented. The LSCT people also performance a skit and it was wonderful.

Everything went smoothly and the performance ended at 9.45pm. Everyone went back to our hostel and we girls had a photo taking session.Gees that was fun! (: I enjoyed my day! YAY!

I was glad that every group put in effort to make this possible. And thank you for your hospitality local students! 5 weeks has almost passed and I long more! I am already used to Wuhan life but I have to go. Memories will stay within and never gone. And most importantly, we had fun today didn't we? (:
